HIV Leadership Academy

A 6-month training program for the HIV workforce and community leaders to help you build your capacity to improve access to high-quality, life-extending care that is free of stigma and discrimination for those at risk of or living with HIV.

Leadership Academy Information:

Fifteen training modules will be presented over the course of six sessions.
Graduation will be contingent upon attendance at five of the six sessions.
Breakfast will be provided for all sessions.
A graduation dinner will be held upon the academy’s conclusion, during which certificates will be presented.

Leadership Academy Requirements:

The submission of applications must be completed online.
To be considered, applications must be fully completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants should have experience working with Broward County continuum of care providers.
Applicants must live or work in Broward County with a strong interest and commitment to ending the HIV Epidemic.

Important Dates & Deadlines:

Application Deadline: December 2nd, 2024
Acceptance Letters: December 4th, 2024
Applicants must respond to the Acceptance email if they intend to attend the academy after receiving official acceptance.
HIV Leadership Academy Orientation: February 12th, 2025 (9:30 AM to 12:00 PM)
Testing/Screening: March 12th, 2025 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)
Treatment: April 9th, 2025 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)
Prevention: May 14th, 2025 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)
Treatment and Prevention Part 1: June 11th, 2025 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)
Treatment and Prevention Part 2: July 9th, 2025 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)
Graduation Dinner: TBD
