  • National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day - March 10

    The U.S. Department of Health and Human Service, Office on Women’s Health is the lead for this day. Get graphics, web banners and more resources at WomensHealth.gov/NWGHAAD/.Learn about the Take Charge. Take the Test: a campaign to encourage African American women to get tested for HIV.

  • National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day - March 20
  • National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day - April 10

    National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD) is an annual observance that takes place on April 10.
    Advocates for Youth plans and directs this observance day. Visit the NYHAAD site for resources and more information.
    The 2014 theme for this observance is “Engaging Youth Voices in the HIV & AIDS Response.”

  • HIV Vaccine Awareness Day - May 18

    National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is the lead for this day. Read and share this 2013 NIAID Bulletin about HIV Vaccine Awareness Day.     May 19 is National Asian and Pacific Islander (API) HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The Banyan Tree Project—a national campaign to end the silence and shame surrounding HIV/AIDS in Asian and Pacific Islander communities—is the lead for this day.

  • Hepatitis Testing Day - May 19

    The Action Plan for the Prevention, Care, and Treatment of Viral Hepatitis designates May 19 as Hepatitis Testing Day. Hepatitis Testing Day falls during May’s observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month.

  • Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day - June 8

    The National Planning Committee convened by Caribbean People International Collective, Inc. is the lead for the Day.

  • National Latino AIDS Awareness Day - October 15

    The Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA), the Hispanic Federation and many other organizations organize this day.
