HIV Leadership Academy

A 6-month training program for the HIV workforce and community leaders to help you build your capacity to improve access to high-quality, life-extending care that is free of stigma and discrimination for those at risk of or living with HIV.

Leadership Academy Information:

A total of Twenty-Four seats will be available for academy participants.

Thirteen training modules will be presented over the course of six sessions.

Graduation will be contingent upon attendance at five of the six sessions.

Breakfast will be provided for all sessions.

A graduation dinner will be held upon the academy’s conclusion, during which certificates will be presented.

Leadership Academy Requirements:

To be considered, applications must be fully completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applicants should have experience working with Broward County continuum of care providers.

Applicants must live or work in Broward County with a strong interest and commitment to ending the HIV Epidemic.

Application Deadline: November 10th, 2023.

Acceptance Letters: November 17th, 2023.

HIV Leadership Academy Orientation: December 6th, 2023 (9:30 AM to 12:00 PM)

Testing/Screening: January 17th, 2024 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)

Treatment: February 14th, 2024 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)

Prevention: March 13th, 2024 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)

Treatment and Prevention Part 1: April 10th, 2024 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)

Treatment and Prevention Part 2: May 8th, 2024 (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM)

Graduation Dinner: May 15th, 2024
